I LOVE the original spot so I decided to come to this new spot, we got sat right away, I love how they always give complimentary seafood soup with tostadas and limes to start. The server did take a while to get to our table, once she did she took our drink order then took a while maybe like 20min to get back and take our order. We did get our food quickly though but she failed to check in on us until we were done with our food. We got Camarones envueltos (bacon wrapped shrimp) with green rice, you get a choice from red, white or green, it also came with 2 different salads (veggie and pasta). The pasta salad does have pineapples I believe, I don't like them so I just put them to the side. Agua chile verde was very good and so was the sushi they were very straightforward. Everything was very good, the server just wasn't.

This place is legit. From food to drinks all the way to ambiance -- this spot calls for a good time on any day of the week. F O O D Tacos, Tostadas, Ceviche, Vasilocos, Aquachile, Caldos, and everything in between. The seafood options are the star of the show as the freshness, quality, taste, and presentation are stellar. Definitely above and beyond what competitors in San Jose offer. D R I N K S There is a full bar on the premises but I think these guys are known for their Micheladas. I had their Super Micheladas which is topped off with sauce smothered cooked jumbo shrimp and tajin. One drink is almost a meal because it's massive and very filling. A M B I A N C E Fun. Period. With the music and energetic vibes, it's a good time regardless of the time of day you visit. For birthday celebrations, the staff will surround your table and serenade you with the Spanish version of the birthday song (accompanied by the music from their surround sound system). Definitely an exciting venue to celebrate any special occasion -- it's a party vibe all around. S E R V I C E Every time I have dined here, every server was courteous and prompt. I love their attentiveness and consistency. It shows they really care about providing exceptional hospitality. The owner who is usually on site will even greet you as you enter the restaurant, and will attend to your table should there be a need in service. I have already recommended this spot to several of my friends, colleagues, and family members. Looking forward to my next visit! P.S. there are two other locations in San Jose: 13th Street and Monterey Road, but I think I'm a fan of the Alum Rock extension.

I've been wanting to try seafood moljete for quite sometime now. This place is SO LOUD!! The music was intense! I kept thinking to myself, can we really eat here with the loud music. At first I thought there was a live band playing somewhere in the back. Then I thought, maybe they were streaming music from the other location where there was a live band. Twenty minutes later, we realized it was people in the restaurant singing karaoke!! How fun and lively! My eardrums just needed time to adjust. Now about the food. We ordered the seafood moljecte, mixed ceviche and michelada to share. I wanted the whole fried tilapia but we weren't hungry enough to take down a whole fish. The moljexte was delicious! Came our pipping hot and that creamy sauce, SO good! I wished I had some crispy baguette to dip that sauce. Seafood was perfectly cooked and the portion was generous. We struggled to finished the food. The michelada hit the spot, it was perfectly cold and refreshing! We totally dig the vibes! It was someone's birthday every 5 minutes! The whole staffing crew would round up together, sing. Give the birthday person a shot, blow the whistle, shake that person's head like how they do it in Cancun or Cabo! So much fun. Even though there was always so much commotion happening at the same time, the service never lacked. We got checked on multiple times from different servers if we needed anything else so I really appreciated that. Overall, we were very happy with the service and our meal and can't wait to come back to try other dishes.

This place is such a vibe!!!! An AMAZING one at that!!! Shout out to my sister for mentioning/recommending Mariscos Costa Alegre to me due to the simple fact that I LOVE me some good ol' ceviche. I was planning a much needed catch up sesh with a gf and threw out MCA as an option. I had been craving real authentic Mexican food for quite some time and was so excited she went with the idea. The drive to the establishment was easy, conveniently located super close to the 101. Parking however was limited. The lot located behind the restaurant seems to be shared amongst a few neighboring businesses and a number of parking spots were blocked via cones to refrain from patron's usage. It worked out well for us being that it was a weekday but I can't imagine the chaotic-ness of the busy weekends. Upon entry, there is the smell of cleaning product that hits you- not in a gross overpowering way but enough to let you know that MCA doesn't play about cleanliness. There is a good sized waiting area which we didn't have to utilize for too long since an employee seated our party of two quickly. Menus are provided and damn does this place have some offerings!! This even includes a large kiddy menu- score for all of us mamas out there! Extra points because the menu is fully/clearly labeled and is accompanied with bomb a** photos. This baby is legit fool proof. Orders: *Tacos * Vasiloco Mixto [seafood mix of shrimp, fish, octopus, scallops in black aguachile sauce] *Doble Super Michelada x2 *Doble Michelada x2 [but our last order ended up just being Negra Modelo & a rimmed cup] *Patron Anejo x3 Food and drinks were so good. The hype regarding their ceviche totally lives up to all of the gossip!! The seafood tasted clean, fresh, and didn't come equipped with any fishy-ness. Drinks were so great, we went from sharing one doble super michelada to having 4. Tacos were good and I liked how they give you onions and cilantro on the side so you can add as little or as much as you'd like. 5/5 stars but as a heads up, getting our orders in and making requests was difficult since the staff are Spanish speakers. Speak slow and be patient if you flunked Spanish in HS like myself. If all else fails, there's always Google translate. ***An extra TY to our dining neighbors [2 gals & a toddler] as well as the separate party of 3 fellas!! Thank you for your kindness and recommendations, you guys truly made our night that much more MEMORABLE!! We appreciate y'all***
